hi list,

so far, i have a system-100m of two 191j cabinets and the following modules:
182, 131, 132, 130, 140(x2), 173. (and no vco's, or vcf's! insane or what?)

what would anyone use the 173 for?

gating audio? but it clicks for this...unless the clicks could be used intentionally for special effects of course.
also maybe the 173 used, i guess, for gating cv's/gates...?

any other ideas?

thanks,
best regards,
Bakis.

sure it clicks, it's a switch...
if connected right you can switch (pos in for on, neg for off) an audio or vc signal in or off...if you don't need it I'd swap it for a 112 Dual VCO or 110 VCO/VCF/VCA if you'll want one just pm.
cheers

hello,

thanks, but you're not telling me anything new...

btw, IF i would want to swap the 173, i do know its value (its pretty rare), so i would want an 172, or an 174, only.

thanks,
best regards, Smile
Bakis.

Its very handy to use with sequencers or switch between lfo's or other modulation pads.
Its a simple module but it expands your sound creativity.

another great thing is that if u have a 100M without 191-J cabinets (for example only 190) then u still have the multiple jack bay. Very Happy

thanks Steve.

or, it could be used as a Logical AND, to gate gates and triggers, plus as a wierd sound processor if the switching would be in audio rate...

i'll be keeping it.
